The main function of the billet opener is to reciprocate roll the billet heated by the heating furnace and roll it into intermediate billet of a certain size for the continuous rolling unit. The hot billet heated by the heating furnace is transported to the billet opener through the roller conveyor, and the control system decides whether to turn the steel over by the steel turning equipment according to the pre-set tooling parameters and rolling program of HM1; the press down equipment automatically reaches the set roll gap; after the billet is aligned with the rolled holes in the pusher bed, the roller conveyor and rollers run to send the billet into the billet opener, and the billet opener bites the steel to start rolling. When the billet machine throws the steel, this pass rolling is completed, into the next pass, and so on, until the rolling is completed the required number of passes.
