Description
MRAP is a mine-resistant ambush vehicle. A major feature of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is the creative use of simple explosive devices (IEDs) by anti-US armed personnel. IEDs are simple to make and made of a wide range of materials, making it difficult for the US military to defend against them. While mines and IEDs have caused great casualties to the US military, they have also consumed the US military’s war resources. The US military stationed in Iraq soon realized that the Humvee tank could not provide sufficient protection for the personnel inside the vehicle. This urgently needs a tank with higher protection capabilities to cope with the war situation.
