LAV-25 Armored Vehicle – 3D Model SolidWorks
The LAV-25 armored vehicle (English: Light Armored Vehicle-25) is a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle developed by the United States in 1980 for the newly formed rapid deployment force according to the LAV light armored vehicle outline. The development of this vehicle was jointly implemented by the US Army and the Marine Corps, and tactical and technical indicators that met the requirements of both parties were proposed. In 1981, 8 proposals from 7 companies participated in the bidding, of which 4 models from 3 companies participated in the competitive comparison test in 1982. In September 1982, the US military officially announced that the proposal of the diesel engine division of General Motors Canada won the bid, and named the Piranha wheeled armored vehicle (8×8) provided by the company as the LAV-25 armored vehicle.
