The annual output of fresh apricots in my country is large and seasonal, so a large number of fresh apricots are easily accumulated during the apricot harvest season. However, apricots have poor storage properties and are easy to rot. Therefore, many fruit farmers process apricots into deep-processed products such as apricot preserves, apricot juice, apricot jam, and dehydrated apricot meat. Before deep processing, there is a very important step—apricot pitting. At present, the mechanization and automation level of apricot cutting and pitting in my country is low, and most apricot pitting is done manually, so the efficiency of apricot pitting is low and the sanitary conditions are poor. In view of the current situation, this paper designs a highly automated apricot cutting and pitting equipment to improve the productivity of apricot cutting and pitting and liberate labor. The main contents of this design are: lifting and transportation mechanism, apricot orientation mechanism, pallet conveying mechanism, and cutting and pitting mechanism. When designing each structure, the conveyor belt design, apricot spatial orientation design, tool design, belt drive gear transmission design, and offset crank slider mechanism design were designed respectively; the advantages of this equipment are: high degree of automation, high work efficiency, high pitting rate, simple and compact structure, low cost, strong applicability, low breakage rate, etc. The high degree of automation of this equipment has greatly liberated productivity, not only improving the efficiency of apricot pitting, but also reducing the waste of apricots. This equipment is low-cost and affordable for fruit farmers, so it is highly popularizable.
