AB Structure Design And Motion Simulation Of A Hybrid Five-Axis Machine Tool – 3D Model SolidWorks

The use of hybrid power as a power source for machine tools is now gradually entering the market. It is a new type of machine tool and has been favored by various countries. The hybrid mechanism has the advantages of high overall rigidity, small overall inertia, strong load-bearing ability and good dynamic performance, but the existing hybrid and parallel machine tools have the disadvantages of small range of workpieces that can be processed and low flexibility. In response to the above problems, this paper proposes a new type of five-axis hybrid machine tool and conducts the following research: (1) The structure of the five-axis hybrid machine tool is introduced. After the structural introduction, the kinematic analysis of the five-axis machine tool is carried out, mainly including the position analysis, speed analysis and terminal motion analysis of the five-axis machine tool. This lays the foundation for the subsequent modeling and simulation of the five-axis hybrid machine tool and the simulation of the processing path trajectory. (2) Conduct 3D modeling of the five-axis hybrid machine tool, and simulate the motion trajectory of the tool end of the five-axis hybrid machine tool. Before the simulation analysis, all the drive pairs of the five-axis machine tool need to be initialized, that is, the drive pairs are reset to the initial position and the corresponding parameters are set. After the drive pair is initialized, the five-axis hybrid machine tool will be subjected to motion simulation analysis. The simulation results show that the tool motion trajectory at the tool end is spiral. This lays a good foundation for the subsequent machine tool surface simulation. (3) Conduct surface processing simulation analysis of the five-axis hybrid machine tool. First, analyze the tool posture and swing center position of the hybrid machine tool. Then, through UG post-processing, convert the surface to be processed into NC code, and use MATLAB to reverse the displacement of the drive pair. Then use SolidWorks to perform surface processing simulation. Through surface processing simulation, the rationality of the five-axis hybrid machine tool designed in this paper is further proved
